1. Who provides this app
Truck Assist is provided by an individual, Yevhen Bashchak, contactable at support@truck-assist.top. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.
The app is free. There is no advertising, no paid feature, no in-app purchase and no subscription.
2. Who may use it
The app is intended for professional drivers aged 18 or over. You need an account, and the details you give must be your own and accurate. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.
3. This app does not drive for you
Truck Assist is an information service, not a navigation system and not a driving aid. It tells you what other drivers have reported. It does not replace your attention, road signs, road markings, traffic law, the instructions of the authorities, or your own judgement.
You alone are responsible for driving your vehicle. Never operate the phone while the vehicle is moving. The app is designed to be used by voice for exactly this reason: the report button answers by sound, the screen locks its text input above 5 km/h, and announcements are held back while you are stationary. Use it that way.
Do not rely on the app for anything safety-critical. A road may be blocked with no report about it, and a report may describe a road that is already clear.
4. Reports come from other drivers
Almost everything you see in the app was created by another driver: voice reports, chat messages, parking answers, company ratings. We do not check any of it before it is shown. It may be mistaken, out of date, or simply wrong. Treat it the way you would treat a voice on a CB radio — useful, and not a fact.
Some information ages on its own and disappears without anyone withdrawing it. That is deliberate, and it is not a guarantee that whatever remains is still true.
5. What you may not report
- Police checks, speed cameras and speed traps. The app has no category for this on purpose: warning about traffic enforcement is illegal in several European countries, including Germany, France and Switzerland. Do not use voice messages or chat for it.
- Reports you know to be untrue, or reports about a place you are not at.
- Anyone else's personal data — names, plate numbers, photographs of people.
- Insults, threats, hate speech, and anything unlawful.
- Advertising and spam.
- Company ratings for a company you have not worked for. The app enforces this, and circumventing it is a breach of these terms.
6. Your content
What you record and write stays yours. By sending it you give us permission to store it and show it to other drivers inside the app, for as long as the app keeps it — see the Privacy Policy for how long that is. Nothing more: we do not publish it elsewhere and do not sell it.
We may remove any content and suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, particularly section 5.
7. Availability
The app is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available, complete, accurate or uninterrupted, and we may change or discontinue any part of it. It is free, and it is developed by one person.
The app depends on services we do not control — mobile networks, satellite positioning, map and routing providers, and the push services of Google and Apple. It will not work without a network connection.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of information in the app, nor for any loss arising from its use, from its unavailability, or from content created by other users.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — in particular for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for intentional harm.
9. Ending it
You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account in Account → Settings → Delete account. We may close an account that breaches these terms. Sections 8 and 10 survive.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Poland, and disputes are for the courts of Poland. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence.
11. Changes
We may amend these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app, and the version date is at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
